RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. Team Formation
    • Participation can be Individual / Team of 2 (organizer’s choice).
    • One participant can register only once.
  2. Virtual Capital
    • Each participant/team will be given ₹1,00,000 virtual money (fixed).
    • No additional capital will be provided.
  3. Trading Platform
    • Organizer-provided mock trading sheet / software / app
    • OR facilitator announcements (manual method).
  4. Stocks Available
    • Limited to pre-decided companies (e.g., Reliance, Tata Motors, Infosys, HDFC, ITC, etc.).
    • Prices will be based on real market data or simulated price changes.
  5. Trading Time
    • Event duration: 60–90 minutes.
    • Trading allowed only during official rounds.
  6. Buying & Selling Rules
    • Participants can buy or sell stocks any number of times within time limit.
    • Short selling not allowed (unless specified).
    • Partial shares not allowed (only whole numbers).
  7. Information Flow
    • Market updates, news flashes, and price changes will be announced by the event coordinator.
    • Decisions must be made within given time windows.
  8. Fair Play
    • Use of mobile phones, external stock apps, or internet is strictly prohibited.
    • Any malpractice = immediate disqualification.
  9. Judging Criteria
    • Final Portfolio Value (Cash + Stock Value).
      In case of tie:
    • Higher net profit
    • Better risk management
    • Fewer unnecessary trades
  10. Decision of Judges
    • ·Judges’ decision will be final and binding.

WORK FLOW (STEP-BY-STEP)

Step 1: Registration
Participants register at the Mock Stock desk.

Teams receive:
Participant ID
Virtual cash balance
Stock price sheet

Step 2: Orientation (5–10 mins)
Event rules explained.
Sample buy/sell transaction demonstrated.
Doubts cleared.

Step 3: Market Opens
Initial stock prices announced.
Participants plan investment strategy. 2

Step 4: Trading Rounds
4–6 rounds (each 10–15 minutes).

In each round:
New prices / market news announced
Participants submit Buy / Sell orders
Organizers update portfolios

Example: “Company A price increases due to strong quarterly results.”

Step 5: Market Closes
No further trades allowed.
Final portfolio valuation done.

Step 6: Evaluation & Results
Profit/Loss calculated.
Top portfolios ranked.
Winners announced.
