YGT Sports (Box Cricket)

General Rules

• 7 players in one team and 3 substitutes.
• Each match will be of 5 overs.
• One bowler can bowl only 2 overs (2-1-1-1).
• Player cannot get out leg before the wicket.
• Stepping out of the crease while batting is not allowed. If done, then runs scored will not be considered and the ball will be counted.

Bowling Rules

• Underarm bowling is compulsory.
• Ball should be pitched beyond the no ball line otherwise it will be called no ball.
• Bowler has to ball within the given box i.e. bowling crease.
• Any deviation from the above rules will be a “No Ball”.
• Usual Box Cricket’s No ball, Wide ball, Byes and Overthrow rules will be applicable.
• Side-arm bowling is not allowed – if done, then, it will be considered as a no-ball. Umpires decision will be final.

Modes of Dismissal

• Ball going directly over the provided outer line of the box will be out, even if it is a No Ball.
• Bowled.
• Caught out.
• Stumped out.
• Run out.
• Stumping on No ball will not be considered.
• If the keeper collects the ball before it passes the stumps for stumping, then stumping will be not valid.
• If the match is tied, then the winner of the match will be decided by Super Over.
• Profanity/consumption of alcohol/ drunken team members are strictly not allowed on the field.
• Umpire’s Decision will be the final. No argument will be entertained with the umpire.
